James Walker has replaced Charles Cantoni (retired) as president and CEO of filmless X-ray imaging systems company Alara. The new appointee has been with the Fremont, California-based company since 1994 - as chairman of the board since 1995. He takes over the CEO role as the company stands on the threshold of new product launches that, he says, will "take it into new markets, and provide significant growth in revenues and profitability in the near future".
