Scott Garrett has been appointed CEO of Beckman Coulter, succeeding John Wareham, who is retiring. Mr Garrett, who was appointed COO and president of the company in December 2003, will take on his new role on February 21. Previously, he was an executive at Baxter, and was involved in the spin-out of Dade International.
