The US Department of Defense and eight other government departments, including Health and Human Services (HHS) have announced the availability of the "Multi-Agency Radiological Laboratory Analytical Protocols Manual". The manual provides guidance for the planning, implementation and assessment phases of projects that require the laboratory analysis of radionuclides. Government officials hope that use of the manual will promote national consistency in the generation of radioanalytical data. The notice was posted in the Federal Register on December 27 containing links to the manual itself.
