The UK's 100th so-called "super-surgery", built under the NHS Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme, will open this week. The milestone will be reached with the completion of three such centres, two in Northern England (St Helens and Doncaster) and one in East London, the Department of Health (DoH) announced today.
