New German diagnostics interest group will increase political clout

Eight companies within the German diagnostics industry association (VDGH) have formed a life science working group, called LSR AG, in a bid to improve information exchange and co-operative projects between commercial and scientific institutes. They will also seek to improve the standing of the industry within political circles and underline its contribution to Germany as a research-based nation. The founder members are Becton Dickinson, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Eppendorf, PerkinElmer LAS (Germany), Promega, Qiagen, Roche Diagnostics and Sigma-Aldrich Chemie.
