Executive Summary
November 3 is the deadline by which interested parties must send their comments to the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR) on its preliminary opinion on the possible effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) on human health, including those produced by medical equipment. The Commission intends to prepare a report to the Council and has asked the SCENIHR to update a previous official EU opinion in this area, as well as to monitor new information that may influence the assessment of risks to human health in this area.
