Spain has doubled its annual budget for HIV-related not-for-profit initiatives that focus on early diagnosis and prevention. Subsidies totalling Euro3.15m ($4m) have been awarded to 45 organisations, for 76 projects (details at www.msc.es). This is up 96.6% on the funding provided in 2005 and 214% on that of 2004.
