As part of the devolution of more power to South Africa's hospital managers, the Gauteng Department of Health has appointed Arthur Manning as CEO for the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital (Johannesburg); and David Ramafoko as CEO of Dr George Mukhari Hospital (Pretoria - also known as Tshwane). Dr Manning was previously clinical director at Baragwanath Hospital, and Mr Ramafoko was previously director of corporate services at the department of health for the Eastern Cape.
