Wellesley, Massachusetts-headquartered health sciences and photonics company PerkinElmer has appointed Richard Eglen as vice-president and general manager, discovery and research reagents, at the firm's life and analytical sciences unit. Dr Eglen, who has over 20 years' experience in the fields of diagnostics, biotech and pharma, was most recently vice-president and chief scientific officer, R&D, for US drug discovery firm DiscoveRx.
