Luc Maes, chairman of the British Vita non-wovens division, Belgium, has been elected as chairman of the EU non-wovens industry association, EDANA, for a one-year term of office. He replaces Knud Waede Hansen, who will retire as managing director of Fibertex later this year. The association represents manufacturers of non-woven medical device products as well as manufacturers of absorbent hygiene products. Non-wovens have an increasingly wide variety of applications.
