Advanced Medical Optics has raised its earnings outlook for 2006 and 2007 to reflect the impact of the $450m planned note offering and $500m share and note repurchase announced last week (see Clinica No 1209 p 14). The Santa Ana, California-based ophthalmic firm now expects to achieve earnings of $2.03-$2.19 per share for 2006, and over $2.60 per share for 2007. Revenue guidance remains unchanged at $1.02-1.04bn for 2006, and $1.1-1.2bn for 2007.
