Sysmex America has received US FDA 510(k) clearance to sell its XS-1000i automated haematology analyser for use in clinical laboratories and physician offices. Available both with and without an auto sampler, the product uses fluorescent flow cytometry and advanced cell-counting methods to deliver rapid, reliable tests results, said the Mundelein, Illinois firm. The Mundelein office serves as the US headquarters of Kobe, Japan-based Sysmex. The XS-1000i completes Sysmex' X-series family of haematology instruments.
