Scotland: IDeAS a fillip for upstream medical technology

Scotland's upstream medical technology industry has added another string to its bow, with the launch of the IDeAS (Innovation, Development, Advice and Support) network. The initiative of industry association Medical Devices in Scotland (MDIS) aims to co-ordinate advice to innovators. An advisory panel of "professionals picked specifically for individual projects" is to meet on a quarterly basis to review progress and report back to the innovator.
