This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

BSD Medical is to see its precision-focused RF/microwave cancer treatment debut in Japan after enlisting Tokyo-based Ktec as its distributor for that market. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The deal marks the end of Salt Lake City, Utah-based BSD's "lengthy" search and negotiation process for a sales partner in the world's second largest medical device market. BSD is pursuing a global strategy to establish a chain of distributors in the Pacific Rim. The agreement with Ktec follows on from the recent appointment of Chinese firm Dalien Orientech as BSD's distributor in China.
