This article was originally published in Clinica
Live Tissue Connect (LCT) has CE-marked for sale in Europe its VAD-400 RF generator. The product employs radiofrequency technology to bond tissue in live organs. It can reconnect soft tissue through fusion, in contrast with conventional wound closing devices such as sutures, staples, sealant, or glues. The firm said that the CE mark was "a major step towards launching the entire VAD-400 handpiece and generator system into the European markets". LTC is a subsidiary of Corpus Christi, Texas-based CSMG Technologies, and was formed to exploit this technology.
