Arbios Systems (Waltham, Massachusetts), a developer of liver assist devices, has appointed Shawn Cain (most recently vice-president of operations) as interim president and CEO in place of Walter Ogier, who has resigned as president, CEO and board director. Amy Factor (a former CEO and director of the firm) has been elected vice-chairman of the board. She is also part of a new operations and strategic group, the Office of the Chairman, alongside directors John Vierling (director) and Dennis Kogod.
