Executive Summary
Laparoscopic systems specialist Viking Systems has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Coherent-AMT to make the former's 3Di Vision technology available throughout Canada. According to Cambridge, Ontario-based Coherent, the addition of 3Di - which .has been implemented in more than 100 hospitals worldwide - to its portfolio will enable it to meet the growing demand for 3D minimally-invasive technology. Viking (San Diego, California) has expanded its international horizons this year by securing distribution deals to market its technology in Spain, Portugal, China, India, Puerto Rico and the eastern Caribbean (see Clinica No 1257, p 14).
