Executive Summary
Johnson & Johnson-subsidiary Cordis is to offer a broader range of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon catheters in its Sleek and Savvy Long lines, following the expansion of an existing agreement with the devices' manufacturer ClearStream Technologies. Cordis' endovascular division has been marketing Sleek and Savvy Long balloons of up to 200mm in length outside the US since May 2007. It expects the new catheters - which include lengths of up to 220mm - to be available in non-US market from October 2007, and in the US in the first quarter of 2008.
