Australian ophthalmic laser and ultrasound systems developer and manufacturer Ellex Medical Lasers (Adelaide) has appointed Christin Harris as vice-president of US sales, effective September 1. From Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ellex USA plans to reap a US$12m five-year product development investment aimed at increasing its share of the US ophthalmic device market. Ms Harris spent the last 11 of her 20 years' experience in the ophthalmic device industry with Israeli medical laser firm Lumenis.
