Executive Summary
The leading UK sexual health charity, the Family Planning Association (FPA), has appointed Julie Bentley as the chief executive. Ms Bentley, currently CEO of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, joins at a time of heightened scrutiny of efforts to control the spread of sexually-transmitted infections (STIs). In raising awareness of the need to improve access to screening, the FPA has been a vocal critic of delays in deploying the national sexual health strategy (see Clinica No 1266, p 5).
