NeuroVasx has filed a 510(k) marketing application with the US FDA for its cerebral aneurysm-filling technology. cPAX comprises a polymeric strand that is delivered minimally-invasively through a microcatheter into the aneurysm over a guide wire. The product consists of a soft, flexible material, which allows for increased packing density, said the Maple Grove, Minnesota firm. According to the company, the worldwide market potential for stroke treatment devices is estimated to be over $3bn.
