John Jumper has been elected to the board of directors of Somanetics (Troy, Michigan), developer and manufacturer of a noninvasive monitoring system for blood oxygen levels for patients at risk of restricted blood flow. General Jumper, who will serve until 2010, is a former US air force chief of staff and senior military advisor to the government. He is currently the director of several private companies and advisor/consultant to a number of technology companies.
