German diagnostics manufacturers have in recent years put a lot of faith in the promised growth of the market - but that is not happening yet, says VDGH chief executive Dierk Meyer-Luerssen. Yet the benefit of correct and early diagnosis is not in dispute, both in patient terms and for the healthcare economy. And the DRGs, in theory, put an increased focus on accurate and cost-effective diagnosis for the hospitals.
