Siemens Medical Solutions is to distribute the ImageGrid archive appliance from medical informatics company Candelis through its own global sales and distribution network. Siemens has added the technology, which is fully compliant with DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) standards, to its accessory solutions product portfolio. ImageGrid provides cost-effective storage to hold large volumes of data or images created by diagnostic tools such as mammography and ultrasound scans. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
