Mechanical circulatory support systems manufacturer WorldHeart has appointed David Pellone as vice-president, finance and CFO. He replaces Richard Juelis, who remains as consultant to the Oakland, California company until the end of the year. Mr Pellone has held senior financial executive posts at a number of technology companies, including 3M's medical products and services division and acted as consultant for WorldHeart. His areas of expertise include public reporting and internal controls compliance.
