Labtestsonline now launched in German
This article was originally published in Clinica
Executive Summary
Lab Tests Online, the non-commercial source of information on laboratory testing, has now been launched fully in German. Like the five-year old US AACC-based original and the March 2007 Spanish version (see Clinica No 1248, p 3), www.labtestsonline.de is aimed at patients and primary care professionals. It was begun as a pilot project in Germany some six months ago (see Clinica No 1227, p 8) after collaboration between the German society for clinical chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) and the diagnostics industry association (VDGH), whose director Dierck Meyer-Luerssen stressed that greater awareness of lab tests will prompt their greater use. Polish, Italian and Hungarian language versions will be made available in the next few months.
