In readiness for US FDA approval of Peak Surgical's innovative surgery system for tissue dissection, the Palo Alto, California-based firm has appointed John Cifarelli as vice-president of sales. Mr Cifarelli joins from NeoGuide Systems (colorectal cancer prevention and treatment technology), where he served in the same role. Peak's CEO, John Tighe, said he expects Mr Cifarelli to create and grow a -top-notch sales force" that would -quickly commercialise" the firm's surgery technology. Mr Cifarelli's career includes stints at CR Bard and 3M.
