Willy de Greef has been appointed secretary general of the European Association for Bioindustries (EuropaBio - Brussels, Belgium), effective from July 1 2008. He will replace Dr Johan Vanhemelrijck who is retiring, thus ending four and a half years at the helm. Mr de Greef has been involved in establishing biotech policy and regulations both in Europe and overseas, including the developing world.
