Executive Summary
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) specialist Volcano has launched two new product options in Europe and the US. The s5-Revo and s5-FFR enable rotational IVUS and fractional flow reserve (FFR) to operate on the same system - the Volcano s5i integrated imaging system - as San Diego, California-based Volcano's previous line of phased array IVUS catheters. The new options will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease, the firm said.
