This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Corgenix Medical is to automate its AspirinWorks diagnostic technology in collaboration with Crumlin, Northern Ireland IVD company Randox Laboratories. The firms will work together to adapt the product to a format compatible with automated chemistry analysers, making it suitable for high volume clinical testing. The AspirinWorks test will be manufactured at Randox's facilities in the UK, and the two companies will share global distribution rights for the resulting product. Corgenix, of Denver, Colorado, expects to launch the automated test in 2009. AspirinWorks is a urine-based test for determining the effect of aspirin therapy on blood clotting.
