Boston Scientific (Natick, Massachusetts) has appointed Timothy Pratt as executive vice-president, secretary and general counsel, effective from May 1; he will also serve on the company's executive committee. Mr Pratt has been the lead outside counsel for Guidant (now part of Boston) for several years and is an attorney specialising in medical device and pharmaceutical litigation.
