Carestream Healthcare has enlisted medical imaging giant Siemens Healthcare as US distributor for a mammography digitising system. The product allows mammography facilities to convert film-based diagnostic and screening mammograms into a digital imaging format. The digitiser can scan up to 50 film images without operator intervention. It also automatically identifies and orientates the images, as well as retrieves patient data from radiology information systems.
