Brazil has introduced its first regulations specifically for medical gloves, in the form of Resolution 5/08 of healthcare surveillance agency Anvisa. Suppliers have until mid-August 2008 to observe the new quality and traceability requirements, which affect the production, packaging/labelling and storage/transportation of all gloves, domestically manufactured and imported.
