Ascension Orthopedics is to grow its product offerings and expand its sales network with the $21m raised in a series D financing. The investment round was led by Frazier Healthcare Ventures. Austin, Texas-based Ascension, which specialises in orthopaedic implants for the upper and lower extremities, also announced the appointment of Andrew Miclot as CEO. With over 25 years' experience in the orthopaedics industry, Mr Miclot has held senior management roles at Orthofix, Zimmer, DePuy and Symmetry Medical.
