Cellestis' tuberculosis (TB) test is six times more effective at detecting the disease than traditional testing. A study published in the February 15 issue of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine found that the product - QuantiFERON-TB Gold - outperformed the standard tuberculin skin test (TST), by singling out those patients with an active, infectious form of TB, over those infected with the inactive, latent form.
