Cardiac surgery company ATS Medical has appointed Xavier Bertrand vice-president and general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective March 1. Mr. Bertrand has over 15 years' experience in the medical industry, mainly in interventional cardiology. He has held various roles in Boston Scientific's European divisions. Most recently, he was at Biosensors International where he was in charge of global sales and marketing. Mr Bertrand joins ATS as the Minneapolis, Minnesota-headquartered firm is preparing to launch its latest product, the ATS 3f Enable sutureless aortic valve; the launch is set for the second half of 2010.
