Executive Summary
The European Association of Urology (EAU) and the prostate cancer pressure group Europa Uomo have joined forces to help publicise the latest techniques in the management of urological diseases. Through the affiliation partnership – the first of its kind for the EAU – Europa Uomo "will gain access to the latest information on optimum surgical and medical treatment in the field of urology [and enable it] to keep its members up-to-date," said EAU secretary-general Professor Per-Anders Abrahamsson. Europa Uomo aims to help "maximise the exposure" of EAU events and the information presented at them, and "inform urology professionals about the needs of prostate cancer patients", according to Europa Uomo secretary Professor Louis Denis.
