Edge grows sales team for global push

Edge Medical Devices, an Israeli developer of flat-panel detectors used in digital radiography, has appointed Rick Sbordone as vice-president of North American sales and Guy Ohad as vice-president of international sales. They will be responsible for developing worldwide distribution deals for the company's new Quix detector and universal retrofit kit. Mr Sbordone has worked in companies such as Philips Healthcare, Imaging Dynamics Company and Swissray America over the last 25 years. Dr Ohad is a professionally trained radiologist and joins Raanana-based Edge from Orex Computed Radiography, a Carestream Health subsidiary, where he managed sales and distribution.
