Stryker has made a several changes to its senior management team. Group president of the company's instruments and medical businesses, Lonny Carpenter, has taken on the new role of group president, global quality and operations. He will be responsible for setting and executing company-wide quality, manufacturing, procurement and logistics strategies. Timothy Scannell, group president of spine and endoscopy, has been appointed group president, medsurg and spine, and will assume Mr Carpenter's previous responsibilities for the instrument and medical divisions in his expanded role. Michael Mogul, president of orthopaedics, has been promoted to group president, orthopaedics, and a corporate officer. In his new role, Mr Mogul will assume additional responsibilities for Stryker's global trauma and craniomaxillofacial franchises.
