Ortho veteran Shappley joins Amedica as president and CEO

Ben Shappley, an orthopaedics veteran whose 25 years' experience include senior management positions in Medtronic, Smith & Nephew and Wright Medical, is to head emerging bone implant company Amedica. As president and CEO, Mr Shappley will be leading the Salt Lake City, Utah company's efforts to commercialise their range of silicon nitride ceramic implants. Prior to this appointment, he was head of SpineMatrix.
