ArthroCare has appointed Andrew Miclotas senior vice-president, general manager of its ear, nose and throat (ENT) business. Mr Miclot has over 25 years’ experience in the medical device industry, primarily in the orthopaedics sector. He was most recently president and CEO of Ascension Orthopedics. In his new role at ArthroCare, Mr Miclot will manage the Austin, Texas firm’s worldwide ENT product lines, used by surgeons in tonsil- and adenoid-removal procedures and the treatment of snoring. ArthroCare’s products are based on its proprietary low-temperature, radiofrequency Coblation technology.
