AMD's HistoScanning debuts in UK and EIRE

Executive Summary
Waterloo, Belgium-based cancer diagnostic imaging specialist Advanced Medical Diagnostics (AMD) is to make its Prostate HistoScanning system available for the first time in the UK and Ireland after appointing Imaging Equipment as the product's exclusive distributor for that region. Bristol, UK-based Imaging Equipment provides a wide range of imaging, radiation and quality assurance products to the UK National Health Service (NHS) as well as to privately-owned clinics. It will be jointly promoting the ultrasound-based HistoScanning technology, which provides visualisation and characterisation of cancerous prostate tissue, with the UK subsidiary of Denmark's B-K Medical, the company with which AMD co-developed the product (see Clinica No 1293, p 21).
