The UK's Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA) has issued draft guidelines on ethical procurement for healthcare. Subject to consultation, they would be introduced in mid-2009 on a voluntary basis, but the strength of the child labour allegations behind the initiative will doubtless hold sway.
