AOS to take Misonix products to eastern Europe

Misonix has entered a two-year deal with private German firm Advanced Oncology Systems (AOS) to sell its ultrasonic technology in eastern Europe. The deal sees Wuppertal-based AOS make Misonix’s Sonablate SB500 high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) system, SonaStar ultrasonic surgical aspiration system, BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutting system, and its SonicOne ultrasound cleansing and debridement system available in countries such as Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine and Georgia. Misonix (Farmingdale, New York) said that sales would be carried out by specialty distributors, while sales made directly to hospitals would be permitted in certain instances.
