Italy sets up breast implants register, tightens regulation

Italy is moving rapidly to set up a national breast implants register, among measures to tighten the regulation of cosmetic augmentation, including a ban on underage (ie under 18) implantation. Medical and technical experts have been convened by the government, with a view to drafting "clear guidelines" for the sector and to establish the register "by the end of this month".
