Oridion, Spacelabs to combine patient monitoring tech

Executive Summary
Israeli ventilation monitoring specialist Oridion Systems has teamed up with medtech and service company Spacelabs Healthcare (Issaquah, Washington) in an OEM agreement to combine the two firms’ respective technologies. The deal, of which financial terms were not disclosed, will see Spacelabs integrate Oridion’s Microstream capnography technology into its own elance patient monitoring system. The Microstream technology enhances patient safety by monitoring carbon dioxide levels in a person receiving treatment, according to Jerusalem-based Oridion. The combined technology is expected to be launched this quarter.
