Medifico eyes Dow Chemical as pathway to global expansion

Medical equipment financing firm Medifico (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) is looking to take its Brainvue-TCD blood flow measurement systems to the “fastest-growing middle-class markets in emerging countries” after entering talks with the healthcare and wellness division of the Dow Chemical Company. The Brainvue-TCD, which was developed by Yonkers, New York-based Multigon Industries, is an ultrasound solution for the noninvasive measurement of the velocity of blood flow in the brain, and is designed to aid in the diagnosis of strokes, sickle cell disease, patent foramen ovale and other neurological disorders. Financial details of the deal were not revealed.
