Executive Summary
As part of an ongoing campaign to extend the use of keyhole and robotic surgery in Spain, the national urology association (AEU) is this week hosting a series of live-surgery broadcasts targeted at practising urologists. Laparoscopic nephrectomy and robotic prostatectomy are among the procedures being performed in five Spanish hospitals and televised live to continuing medical education (CME) delegates involving around 350 urologists, in Madrid during November 12-15. "Urology is one of the specialisms that are most rapidly incorporating the latest surgical advances," said the AEU.
