Executive Summary
RTI Biologics is set to provide its spinal allograft implants to German surgical instruments specialist Aesculap Implant Systems. As part of a new deal between the two firms, RTI (Alachua, Florida) will manufacture cervical and lumbar spinal grafts from designs developed by Aesculap. This deal sees Tuttlingen-based Aesculap boost its range of spine-related products, which include anterior thoracolumbar, cervical spine, interbody fusion and posterior spine implants, as well as osteobiological matrix putty. Financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.
