Live Tissue Connect has CE marked its bipolar forceps for sale in Europe, which are used exclusively with its VAD.400 radiofrequency generator. The firm, a subsidiary of CSMG Technologies (Corpus Christi, Texas), CE marked the generator in December 2007 (see Clinica No 1285, p 18). The entire VAD system, which includes the VAD.400 generator and the forceps, which consist of two configurations of disposable instruments, received US FDA 510(k) clearance last month (see Clinica No 1319, p 18).
